In the new Tratter Engineering headquarter, the production department is located on the ground floor with the laboratories and workshops dedicated to the company’s activities. There is also the administration of the company as well as company apartments on the top floor.
Heating and cooling are mainly done with underfloor heating systems, which are supplemented by mechanical ventilation. The thermal energy for space heating and the production of hot water is provided by a reversible heat pump that uses the groundwater and is supplemented by the heat from the district heating network. The cold for cooling is provided entirely by the reversible heat pump, which is operated with groundwater. So it’s in use a system with a geothermal heat pump with an open circuit.
The distribution with radiation systems guarantees a very good performance of the heat pump and an efficient overall system with low operating costs.
The production workspaces are also heated and cooled in order to guarantee a very high level of comfort in the working environment and to guarantee the precision of the production machines.
The hot water is prepared via the fresh water module, which guarantees the water quality and protection against legionella. A photovoltaic system was installed on the roof. A compressed air system and an irrigation system for green areas were also planned.
