NOI Techpark D2

An innovative construction project at the heart of the technology hub

NOI Techpark D2 is a benchmark for contemporary construction developed using the BIM methodology (Building Information Modeling). This collaborative process integrates all aspects of the building – from technology and climate strategies to technical systems and façades.

Environmental sustainability goals are achieved through targeted measures aimed at minimizing the overall environmental impact of the building volume: connection to district heating as a thermal energy source, rooftop photovoltaic systems for on-site electricity production, mechanical ventilation with high heat recovery, high-efficiency cooling systems, radiant heating and cooling, complemented by sound-absorbing curtains.

The building services design is closely aligned with the architectural concept, which intentionally exposes the technological components of the building. This approach creates an industrial aesthetic that reinforces the message of regeneration and innovation embodied by the technology hub. At the same time, it minimizes the use of cladding materials, allowing the functional core of D2 to become a defining architectural element.

Given the scale and multifunctional nature of the building, BIM planning was carried out using state-of-the-art software to optimize every aspect of the project – from scheduling and data management to overall coordination. Through BIM, the design team was able to streamline internal and external development processes and share a highly detailed three-dimensional model with the project stakeholders and the client.
